How it works
- Write your name and the month at the top.
- Enter each payment on the day it arrives: the invoice number, the customer, what it was for, the amount and how it was paid.
- Total the page at the foot and carry it forward to the next.
- Download and print a sheet for each month.
Frequently asked questions
- Why keep an income log?
- It puts every payment in date order with the invoice it settles, which is what you need at tax time and to spot an invoice still unpaid. Ask a tax adviser what your own country requires you to keep.
- Can I change the columns?
- Yes — add one for the tax on each payment, say, or remove “Paid by”. Each line of the columns box is one column; add |2 to make it wider.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The PDF is drawn in your browser, so whatever you type stays on your computer.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The free plan adds a small line at the foot of the sheet; Pro leaves it off.
