- Which categories should a budget have?
- Fixed costs first (housing, utilities, insurance, subscriptions), then everyday spending (groceries, transport, health), then savings and debt payments, planned as if they were bills. A line for the unexpected keeps one surprise from wrecking the month.
- Does it add up by itself?
- No, it is filled in by hand. To log spending day by day instead, set the first column to “The days of one month” and use categories as the columns — the shape of a Japanese kakeibo.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The PDF is drawn in your browser, so whatever you type stays on your computer.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The free plan adds a small line at the foot of the sheet; Pro leaves it off.
