How it works
- Fill in who it is going to and who it is from. The “pages, including this one” line is the one that stops half a fax going missing unnoticed.
- The message box fills the rest of the sheet. Rename it, or add a second box.
- Download and print it, or print it blank and fill it in by hand at the machine.
- Add a column table above the message if you are sending a list of documents and want them itemised.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I put our letterhead on it?
- Not from here. Make the sheet, then put your letterhead image on it with our add image to PDF tool, or print it on headed paper.
- Do I have to send this by fax?
- No. It is just a PDF. Plenty of people use a cover sheet like this in front of a scanned document by email, for the same reason — it says how many pages there should be.
- Why is there no table?
- Because a cover sheet is mostly headings and one big box. Type column headings in if you want to itemise what you are sending, and the table appears.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The PDF is drawn in your browser, so whatever you type stays on your computer.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The free plan adds a small line at the foot of the sheet; Pro leaves it off.
