Frequently asked questions
- How do the four teams rotate?
- Each team works two earlies, two lates and two nights, then has two days off; the teams are two days apart. Every shift is covered every day, weekends included.
- How many hours is that a month?
- Six shifts in every eight days, about 22 to 24 a month: 176 to 192 hours on eight-hour shifts. The PDF totals days and hours for each team.
- How do I carry the rota on into next month?
- Keep the same “Cycle starts on” date and change the month. The pattern is counted from that date, so a 31-day month does not put anyone on two shifts in a row across the change of month.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The rota is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the sheet.
