How it works
- List the people on the rota, one per line.
- Pick the month, and untick weekends for a school or office rota.
- To carry on from last month, keep the same start date.
- Download the PDF; each person’s number of duties is in the last column.
Frequently asked questions
- How are the duties shared out?
- One person a day, in the order of your list, starting again at the top when it runs out.
- What about weekends and holidays?
- With weekends unticked, weekends and public holidays are skipped and the turn carries on the next working day; ticked, there is a duty every day.
- How do I carry the rota on into next month?
- Keep the same “Cycle starts on” date and change the month. The pattern is counted from that date, so a 31-day month does not put anyone on two shifts in a row across the change of month.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The rota is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the sheet.
