Frequently asked questions
- Is it the Panama or the Pitman schedule?
- Both names are used for the same 2-2-3 rotation: 2 days on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off over a fortnight. Every other weekend is a full Friday-to-Sunday off.
- How do days and nights rotate?
- Each crew works the pattern on days for two weeks and on nights for the next two, so the cycle is 28 days. The crews are a week apart, so every day has one crew on days and one on nights.
- How many hours is that?
- Seven shifts in every fourteen days: 84 hours a fortnight, 42 a week on average. The PDF totals days and hours for each crew.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The rota is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the sheet.
