How it works
- Add one or more .pptx files. Several at once is fine — each becomes its own PDF.
- Wait while the slides are drawn. A long deck with many photographs takes a moment.
- Download the PDF and check it before you send it on.
- For a deck full of charts or SmartArt, export from PowerPoint itself instead — see below.
Frequently asked questions
- What comes across, and what does not?
- Backgrounds, text with its size, weight, colour and alignment, bullet levels, pictures and simple tables. What does not: charts, SmartArt, gradients, shadows, WordArt and animation. Those need a drawing engine that a web page does not have, and they are left out rather than drawn badly.
- Can I select and search the text afterwards?
- Yes. Each slide is drawn as real text on a PDF page rather than turned into a picture, so the PDF can be searched, copied out of and printed at any size.
- It does not look exactly like my slides.
- Then export it from PowerPoint (File → Export → PDF), which uses the same drawing engine that showed you the slides. This tool is for when you do not have PowerPoint to hand and need a readable PDF now.
- Does it handle the old .ppt format?
- No. .ppt is a different, binary format; open it in PowerPoint or LibreOffice once and save it as .pptx.
- Is my deck uploaded?
- No. It is unzipped and drawn in your browser, which matters when the deck is a client’s or an unpublished set of numbers.
