Frequently asked questions
- How does a number pyramid work?
- Each brick is the sum of the two bricks it sits on. With the bottom row given, the child adds upwards; with a brick given higher up, the one beside it is found by subtracting.
- Can every pyramid be solved?
- Yes. The bricks given are chosen so the wall can be finished one brick at a time, each gap worked out from two bricks already known, so there is exactly one answer.
- How big do the numbers get?
- The top brick never passes the limit you choose — 20 for first grade, 100 or 1000 later — and no brick is 0.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The sheet is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the last page.
