Frequently asked questions
- How is calcudoku played?
- Each row and column holds the numbers 1 to the size of the grid once. The bold cages each show a target and an operation: 7+ means the numbers in it add to 7, 2÷ that one is twice the other. A single-square cage gives its number.
- Does each puzzle have only one answer?
- Yes. Every puzzle is solved by the generator before it is printed, and one with a second answer is thrown away and cut again.
- Where can subtraction and division appear?
- Only in two-square cages, as usual: the larger number minus or divided by the smaller. Larger cages add or multiply.
- Is this KenKen?
- KenKen is a registered trademark of Nextoy, LLC. These are calcudoku puzzles of the same kind, made here by our own generator; they are not made or endorsed by the owner of that name.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The sheet is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the last page.
