How it works
- Drop a PDF onto the box or choose it from your device.
- Type the watermark text, for example DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or your company name.
- Adjust opacity, size and angle. A 45° angle with 30% opacity stays readable without hiding the content.
- Press Add watermark and download the stamped file.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the watermark applied to every page?
- Yes, the same stamp is centred on each page.
- Can I use Japanese or other non-Latin text?
- Yes. Latin text uses the built-in Helvetica font and adds nothing to the file. Japanese, Korean and Chinese text needs a real font, which is downloaded once (about 2 MB) and embedded in the result, so a watermarked file with CJK text is roughly 1.3 MB larger than the original. That is the price of a watermark that renders correctly in every reader.
- Can the watermark be removed later?
- It is drawn into the page content, so removing it needs a PDF editor. It is not a security feature; use Protect PDF for that.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The stamp is drawn by your browser and the file never leaves your device.
