How it works
- Add the PDF — a letter-size document that needs to be A4, or a mixed-size scan that needs to be one size.
- Choose the paper size you print on.
- Leave it on “fit the whole page” unless you want the sheet covered edge to edge.
- Download the new PDF and print it at 100 %.
Frequently asked questions
- Letter and A4 are nearly the same. Why does it matter?
- A4 is narrower and taller. Printing a letter-size PDF on A4 without resizing either crops the sides or leaves the whole page shrunk and off-centre, which shows on anything with a footer or a page number.
- Does the text stay selectable?
- Yes. Each page is drawn again at the new size as a vector, so text stays text and nothing is rasterized. Links and form fields do not survive the redraw.
- What does “fill the sheet” lose?
- Whatever falls outside the paper once the page is scaled up to cover it — usually a few millimetres from two edges. Use it for photographs and backgrounds, not for documents with margins.
- Can I just add margins instead?
- Yes, the “add margins to a PDF” tool does that without changing the paper size.
