How it works
- Add the PDF. A one-page design — a notice, a chart, a map — is what this is for.
- Choose how many sheets across. Two across on A4 is roughly an A2 poster; four is roughly A0.
- Leave the overlap at 10 mm if you mean to glue or tape the sheets; set it to none if you would rather cut and butt them.
- Print at 100 %, cut each sheet along its dashed line, and lay them out by the numbers in the corner.
Frequently asked questions
- How many sheets tall will it be?
- As many as the page needs: you choose the width and the height follows from the shape of the page, so nothing is stretched. A portrait A4 page two sheets across comes out two sheets tall.
- Will it be blurry?
- No. The page is drawn again at the new size rather than enlarged as a picture, so text and lines stay as sharp as the printer can manage. A page that is itself a photograph is as sharp as that photograph allows.
- What is the dashed line for?
- It marks where to cut so that this sheet butts against the one before it. The strip outside it is printed on both sheets, which is the overlap you glue.
- Can I do this with a photo or a picture?
