Frequently asked questions
- Are the parts really equal?
- Yes. Circles are cut into equal sectors and bars and rectangles into equal strips and cells, drawn as exact lines, so a quarter is a quarter.
- What do the sums look like?
- Two fractions with the same denominator, added or subtracted, such as 3/8 + 2/8. The answer is given in its simplest form, and a whole answer is written as a whole number.
- Is there a fraction wall?
- Yes: choose the fraction wall for strips from one whole down to twelfths, one under the other and each part labelled, or the fraction circles to cut out.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The sheet is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the last page.
