Frequently asked questions
- When is a 경위서 used instead of a 시말서?
- Whenever what is wanted is an account rather than an apology: an accident at work, an incident at school, damage in a building, a claim to an insurer. A 시말서 is the same report with the admission and the promise added.
- How should it be written?
- Facts in time order: who, when, where, what and how. Say which things you saw and which you were told, and mark a guess as a guess.
