How it works
- Write the recipient’s and sender’s names and addresses exactly as they will be on the envelope; the post office checks that they match.
- Add a subject and the letter; each line is a paragraph and is numbered for you.
- Download the PDF and print three copies: one for the recipient, one the post office keeps and one for you. Sign or seal them.
- Hand them in with the envelope at a post office counter, or send the file through Korea Post’s online service.
Frequently asked questions
- What does a 내용증명 do?
- Korea Post certifies when it was sent, to whom and what it said. It compels nothing by itself, but it proves notice was given — a termination, a demand for payment — and is used as evidence later.
- Why three copies?
- At a counter the post office needs three identical copies: one goes to the recipient, one it keeps, and one comes back to you.
- Is this legal advice?
- No. For a dispute, talk to a Korean lawyer or the Korea Legal Aid Corporation.
