- Is a false one a crime?
- Under § 156 of the German Criminal Code, a false declaration in lieu of an oath is an offence when made to an authority competent to take one — a court, the tax office, or a university whose exam rules provide for it.
- Does it have to be in German?
- Yes: it goes to a German university or authority, so the paper is in German. This page’s form is in English; anything you type into the statement box should be in German.
- Is what I type uploaded?
