How it works
- Choose the fleet: five ships, or the classic ten.
- Print one sheet per player, or two side by side to cut apart.
- Each player draws their ships on the shaded grid, where the other cannot see.
- Take turns calling squares like B7 and mark hits and misses on the lower grid.
Frequently asked questions
- How are the ships placed?
- Straight across or down, never diagonally, and in most rules not touching each other. The fleet list beside the grids shows each ship’s length.
- Can I use it in class?
- Yes — calling squares like C4 is practice in reading coordinates, which is why teachers use it before graphs.
- Are there other games?
- Noughts and crosses, dots and boxes and hangman have pages of their own.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The sheet is made in your browser. On the free plan a small line with our name is printed at the foot of the last page.
