Frequently asked questions
- Can it unlock a PDF whose password I do not know?
- No. You need the password that opens the file. This tool saves you from typing it again; it does not break protection, and there is no way to recover a forgotten password.
- Why remove a password at all?
- Payslips, bank statements and documents received by email often arrive encrypted. Once they are in your own storage, a copy without the password is easier to search, preview, merge and archive.
- Is the unlocked file different in any other way?
- No. Pages, text, images and links stay the same; only the encryption is removed. Free copies end with a small “Made with nouplo.com” line on the last page, which Pro removes.
- Is my password or PDF sent anywhere?
