Frequently asked questions
- How is a 4 × 4 sudoku played?
- Each row, each column and each of the four 2 × 2 boxes holds the numbers 1 to 4 once. On a 6 × 6 the boxes are two rows by three columns and the numbers go to 6.
- What age is it for?
- Children who can count to four can start on the easy 4 × 4 at about five or six; the 6 × 6 suits seven to nine; the 9 × 9 comes after.
- Does every puzzle have one answer?
- Yes. A square is only emptied if a solver still finds exactly one way to finish the grid, so it can always be solved by reasoning.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The free plan adds a small line at the foot of the last page; Pro leaves it off.
