Frequently asked questions
- Declaración jurada or declaración responsable?
- The declaración responsable is the one in Ley 39/2015, art. 69: you tell the administration you meet a procedure’s requirements and hold the documents, and may start at once. A declaración jurada is a sworn statement that something is true, used in many procedures.
- Does it have to be in Spanish?
- Yes: it is handed in in Spain, so the paper is in Spanish. This page’s form is in English; what you type into the statement box should be in Spanish.
- Is what I type uploaded?
- No. The PDF is made in your browser and nothing you type leaves your device. Nothing of ours is printed on the paper.
- Is this legal advice?
- No. It is a form. If in doubt about what you may declare, ask the office that wants it or a lawyer.
