How it works

  1. Enter the total amount and choose one bono, or one for each monthly instalment with the first due date.
  2. Fill in the maker (the borrower) with their T.C. identity number and address, and the payee (the lender).
  3. Add the place of issue and payment, the date, and the city whose courts and enforcement offices will hear a dispute.
  4. Download, print and cut along the dashed lines. The borrower signs every bono; the lender keeps them.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a bono valid?
The Turkish Commercial Code (art. 776) lists what it must contain: the word bono or emre muharrer senet, an unconditional promise to pay a set sum, the due date, the place of payment, the payee, the date and place of issue, and the maker’s signature. Every bono printed here has all of them; only the signature is left to you.
Why one bono per instalment?
A bono with several due dates is not valid as a bono, so an instalment plan is written as a set of bonos, each with its own date and number (1/12, 2/12…). That is how they are sold on paper, too.
What happens to interest?
An interest clause on a bono with a fixed due date is treated as not written. So if you enter a rate, it is worked into the amounts: each bono is an equal monthly payment that already includes the interest.
Is a bono better than an ordinary borç senedi?
A bono is a negotiable instrument: if it is not paid, the holder can go straight to the enforcement office by the fast procedure for bills and notes. An ordinary borç senedi is evidence of the loan but does not open that route. The IOU page makes the ordinary kind.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is a form. For a large sum, or a loan you expect to be difficult, talk to a lawyer.
