Reverse the page order of a PDF

How it works

1. Drop the PDF onto the box. Every page appears as a thumbnail with its original page number underneath.
2. Press Reverse. The last page moves to the front, the first page to the back, and the whole order flips in between.
3. Check the thumbnails. You can still click a page to drop it, drag one into a different place, or rotate any page that came out sideways or upside down.
4. Press Save reversed PDF to download the new file.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a scan come out backwards?

Sheet-fed scanners and copiers take the stack face down, so the last sheet is read first and the PDF ends with page one. Rather than dragging thirty thumbnails into place, press Reverse once.

Does Reverse also flip the pages themselves?

No. It only changes the order. The pages keep their content, their links and whichever way up they are; use the rotate buttons if a page is also lying on its side.

Can I reverse only part of the document?

Not in one click. Reverse always turns the whole order round. For a section, reverse everything and drag the pages that should stay as they were, or use Split PDF first and reverse the part you need.

Can I undo it?

Yes. Press Reverse again to go back, or press Reset to return every page to how the file arrived. Nothing is written until you press Save.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Pages are rendered as thumbnails and the new file is written in your browser. The free plan allows 20 MB per file and 10 runs a day, and free PDFs end with a small “Made with nouplo.com” line; Pro removes both.
