- Why is the contract in German?
- Because the vehicle is sold and re-registered in Germany. The form is in English; the paper is in German, as the registration office and the insurer read it.
- Can a private seller exclude liability for defects?
- Yes, between private people that is usual. What cannot be excluded — fraud, a promised quality, harm to health, gross fault (§§ 309 no. 7 and 444 of the German Civil Code) — is carved out in the contract.
- Is what I type uploaded?
